Free AI Study Guide Generator

Free AI study guide generator for teachers. Start from a quiz or test you made, or from a topic, and get learning targets, key vocabulary, worked examples, practice questions and a self-check. An automatic check keeps practice from copying your test.

How to Create a Study Guide for a Test

  1. Choose your starting point: Pick a quiz or test from your workspace, or enter the topic, grade and subject. Optionally upload notes or the test itself.
  2. Generate the study guide: In about a minute you get learning targets, vocabulary, worked examples, practice questions, a self-check and an optional answer key.
  3. Review and share: Check any items marked as too close to the test, then print it, download it as Word, or share it as a Google Doc.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the study guide give away my test questions?

It is designed not to. Practice questions and worked examples cover the same skills as your test but use different numbers, contexts and wording. An automatic check compares every practice item and worked example with the test: close copies are rewritten or removed, and borderline items are marked for you to review before you share. No automatic check is perfect, so give the guide a quick read before handing it out.

Can I make a study guide without a saved test?

Yes. Choose "From a topic", enter the topic, grade and subject, and optionally pick standards or upload your notes. If you upload the actual test, turn on "This file is the test my students will take" and the same copy check runs against it.

Which assessments can I start from?

Any quiz, test, benchmark, formative check or exit ticket you made in AssessmentWiz. Use the "Create study guide" button on the result or on its workspace card, or pick it from the list on the Study Guide page.

Does the study guide include an answer key?

By default, yes, so students can check their own practice. Switch it off before or after generating if you want to collect the guide as an assignment. In the Word download the answer key starts on its own page, so you can also print the guide without it.

Can I edit or export the study guide?

Yes. Ask for changes in the refine box and the guide is revised, with the copy check run again. You can print it, copy it, download it as a Word document, or open it as a Google Doc.

How long does it take to generate?

Usually about a minute. Comparing the practice items against your test takes a little longer than a plain generation.
