Q1. During the flashlight and laser activity, you traced the path of light. What did you notice about HOW light travels from the source to an object?
Answer: I noticed that light always travels in a straight line from the flashlight or laser to the object. It did not curve or bend around anything in its path.

Answer: To see an object, you need a light source and a clear path for light to travel from the source to the object and then to your eyes. In our activity, the students who could not see the object had something blocking the path of light to their eyes.
Q3. Look at your 'Representing the Path of Light' handout. Choose one scenario and explain why the person in that scenario can OR cannot see the object.
Answer: In my scenario, the person cannot see the object because a wall is blocking the straight-line path of light between the light source, the object, and the person's eyes. Since light cannot bend around the wall, it never reaches the person's eyes.
